I'm aware that Walt Disney World resort rates vary depending on what time of year you go and are categorized as value, regular, peak, or holiday rates. Does anyone know when each of these rate categories apply in 2010?

The way Disney sets resort rates is pretty complex and confusing. First of all, Disney chops the calendar into several categories based on how popular the parks are during various times of the year. These are
Often, these blocks will span short locks of time (possibly only a few days). Also, weekends will sometimes be priced higher than weekdays within a seasonal category. Compounding the complexity is that each resort may define the dates for each season differently. For instance in 2010 the Animal Kingdom Lodge defines value season as Value July 18 - Sept 30 while the at the Port Orleans resorts value season is Aug 15 - Sept 30 (about a month shorter during the summer). MouseSavers keeps an updated list of the season delegations (and corresponding prices) for each resort. Here's a direct link to the 2010 rate information you asked for. |
